Frequently Asked Questions
How much will my cake cost?
This depends on several things: size and number of servings, design time, materials, and the skill level required to create the cake. Artwork and colors are usually about 1/3 of the cost of an average size cake that serves 120 guests. The average cost is $5 per serving plus delivery.

Does the consultation and cake tasting cost anything?
Your consultation is free! Cake samples are $14 for 8 flavors (depending on availability). If you decide to put down a deposit for a cake, the samples are FREE!
How early should I schedule a consultation?
We recommend scheduling a consultation one year before the event, or 6 months before if you have already decided on the design of the cake. Booking early is always best. Just remember, Saturdays always fill up first! If you work during the day or don’t live in the area, we are happy to accommodate you with a meeting after hours.
Do you make other cakes besides wedding cakes?
Yes! Our specialty is elaborate cakes that demand the skills of a highly trained pastry artist. Our sheet cakes are 4 layers, 4 inches tall, and cost $55 for a quarter sheet (serves 20-24) and $75 for a half sheet (serves 40-48). Prices are subject to change without notice.
Will it cost extra to if I wait until the last week before my event to order my cake?
Unfortunately, we may not be able to accommodate your order. For a wedding or quinceanera cake that is more than one tier, we require a one month lead time. Artwork takes time; special toppers and flowers can take up to two months to make. Plan ahead and order at least two months before your event. Our peak season is from May to October, and Saturdays book very quickly.
How big is a serving size?
The wedding cake industry has set a general standard serving of approximately 4 inches high by 1 inch wide and 2 inches long.
How many servings will I need for my event?
Start with this rule of thumb: 80% of your guests will eat cake. Subtract 10% more if you are serving a buffet meal, and another 10% if you are serving alcohol. Outdoor summer weddings, given the warm weather, can also reduce the number of needed servings.
